Hoosiers . 14. team. 813. . 2-10, 0-9.

This season was not what head coach Tom Allen and the Indiana Hoosiers envisioned. The Hoosiers expected to get to the postseason once again after consecutive winning seasons. The offense was abysmal this year, averaging just 17 points per game.

At times, the defense was solid, but the offense often put the Hoosier defense in bad positions. Michael Penix Jr. sustained another season-ending injury which means Allen and his staff have some decisions about that position next year after he transferred to Washington.

team. 882. . 3-9, 1-8. . Wildcats . 13

This season looked like a zero year for the Wildcats. Head coach Pat Fitzgerald and the ‘Cats lost more talent from last season’s team than in school history. Northwestern had more draft prospects in 2020 than they had in the last five years.

That much talent lost from a program like Northwestern usually means a difficult next season. That is exactly what happened. The Wildcats could not score or stop anyone from scoring. The question for Northwestern coming next season is whether they will trust another transfer quarterback.

3-9, 1-8. . Cornhuskers . 12. team. 810.

Speaking of quarterbacks, Adrian Martinez has entered the transfer portal. That move was somewhat surprising, considering Martinez has been the centerpiece of head coach Scott Frost’s offense. Maybe he wants to go somewhere and finally win.

This season was heartbreaking for the Cornhuskers. Nebraska lost every game by one score this season. Frost is coming back but has to retool his staff. Next season he will have both a new coaching staff and quarterback.
