College Football Bowl Games: Saturday, Dec. 25
Camellia Bowl
Ball State and Georgia State have met two previous times (2015 and 2016) and split their games 1-1, each team winning on the road.
Like a lot of 6-6 teams, the Cardinals beat the teams they were supposed to beat and struggled against the rest. Georgia State, on the other hand, crawled out of the gate facing a formidable early-season schedule that included Army, North Carolina, Auburn, and Appalachian State.
The Panthers righted the ship in the second half of the season, winning six of their final seven games, the only loss being to ranked Lousiana.
Neither team has looked overly impressive, and the spread would indicate that Vegas feels the tougher schedule has better prepared Georgia State. If nothing else, this will provide good background noise in replacement of the 24 hours of A Christmas Story for a while.
Pick: This one will probably be closer than 5 points, so take Ball State to beat that spread.
