One of the areas that Alabama could lose some guys on defense is up front on the defensive line. Phidarian Mathis, DJ Dale, and Byron Young are all going to be eligible for the NFL draft. It is possible that all of these guys could leave.

If that were to happen, that means that there is going to be competition for all of the spots on the line. That could lead to a guy like Jaheim Oatis making an impact next season for Alabama.

Oatis has the potential to be the next great nose tackle at Alabama. He is a bigger guy at 6-foot-4 and 370 pounds and he can be an impact player stopping the run and eating up blocks. He is going to have to become more of a complete player and able to rush the passer to play all three downs at Alabama, however.

This is a guy that Alabama fans should become familiar with should those starters leave for the NFL.
