Keon Sabb, 4-star DB

One of Michigan football’s biggest additions on early signing day was the signing of four-star defensive back Keon Sabb.

Sabb was committed to Clemson at one time and flipped after Brent Venables went to Oklahoma to be the head coach. He was wavering before that and his ties to New Jersey plays on Michigan’s roster such as RJ Moten and Brad Hawkins, also helped.

Sabb is ranked 94th overall in the 247 sports composite rankings and is the ninth-ranked safety. Daxton Hill, a former five-star recruit could be leaving for the NFL draft and that could leave an opening for early playing time next season.

The four-star is 6-foot-2, 200 pounds, and could play multiple positions on defense. Not only can he cover, but he can also play in the box and could be a nickel LB. The Wolverines have struggled to cover tight ends over the years and Sabb could be the answer to that.

Michigan sold him on the chance to make an early impact and he’s got the ability to make it happen.
