Will a true freshman QB deliver in the Hawaii Bowl 2021?

Memphis quarterback Seth Henigan has looked fantastic as a true freshman, despite not being the planned Day One starter for the Tigers.

The Tigers were planning on starting Arizona transfer Grant Gunnell, but he was unable to suit up due to injury. His injury status has been tight-lipped and Hennigan became the starter for Memphis, never looking back.

The 6’3″ 200-pound freshman finished 17th in the nation in passing yards and tied for 21st in the nation for passing touchdowns.

3,322 passing yards, 25 touchdowns, and eight interceptions are fantastic for someone who had never played a down of college football for taking over as the starter.

Henigan enjoyed a high mark of 463 passing yards against Tulsa and a 5 TD game against Arkansas State. This gunslinger is looking forward to carving up that Hawaii defense on Dec. 24.
