16. Tennessee

Neyland Stadium is one of college football’s best venues and in some ways, it started to come to life again for Tennessee football in 2021.

The Vols didn’t have the kind of season their fans probably expect them to have but under first-year head coach Josh Heupel, the Vols at least won seven games. They also packed the house with over 100,000 fans for multiple games this season against Ole Miss and Georgia.

The atmosphere for both games was outstanding. And the Vols certainly had their chances against Ole Miss but fell short. Yet, the Vols still were ninth in the country in attendance. And they had that ranking despite supporting a team that didn’t even win a game over a top-25 team.

Tennessee’s best win was over South Carolina and that day, Neyland had about 90,000 strong. Attendance in college football was down about six percent from the last full season, but despite not just a season of losing, but years, Tennessee fans keep showing up.
