1. Alabama is getting hot at the right time

Don’t look now, folks, Alabama is getting hot at the right time. Well, it’s the wrong time for everyone else, but for Nick Saban and the Tide, this is the perfect time to start heating up.

Needing overtime to beat a bad Auburn team in the season finale was not a good look but the double-digit win over Georgia in the SEC title game and now a three-touchdown win over an undefeated Cincinnati team have people believing that the Tide are the clear best team in the country again.

Saban thanked the media for some tasty “rat poison” before the SEC title game and all of the doubt on a national basis has been good for this team.

Alabama has now beaten back-to-back top-four teams by at least two touchdowns and that’s scary news for whoever wins the Orange Bowl between Georgia and Michigan.

If this doesn’t feel like your typical Alabama national title game, I don’t know what will.
