2. The run game flexed its muscle
On a day when KJ Jefferson wasn’t having a ton of success through the air with 14-of-19 completions for under 100 yards and an interception, the run game stepped up.
Sam Pittman is a former offensive line coach and it showed as his big guys stepped up and opened big running lanes for the backs as well as a couple of dual-threat quarterbacks. The Razorbacks rushed for over 350 yards and three touchdowns against a defense that had been known for shutting down the run this season.
Not too shabby.
Arkansas flexed its muscle in the run game all afternoon and that just goes to show that this team is not to be messed with moving forward.
Jefferson had 110 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries, Raheim Sanders had 79 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries, Dominique Johnson had 77 yards on 11 carries, and Malik Hornsby had 67 yards on four carries.
This run game was the true MVP of the game and it was impressive to see.
