3. George Pettaway, RB

One of the strengths of the North Carolina teams of the past few seasons has been their running game. From having Javonte Williams and Michael Carter a season ago to Ty Chandler this season, the Tar Heels have been excellent at running the football.

There is the possibility that Chandler will go to the NFL and that will leave an opening at running back that will need to be filled.

George Pettaway is one of the top running back prospects in the country and would be a top candidate to get carries in the event Chandler leaves. Even if Chandler elects to stay, Pettaway is talented enough to earn his way onto the field.

At 5-11 and 190 pounds, Pettaway has the frame to grow into a bigger back and fit the mold of previous running backs at North Carolina.

Look for Pettaway to get on the field early and often for the Tar Heels next season.
