A fast start is required

Georgia football has had an issue beating Alabama. It’s just like Michigan when it was trying to end the streak against Ohio State.

The Bulldogs have been close on more than one occasion and just haven’t been able to seal the deal. But this team was back to its stellar ways again Michigan. It was sharp, focused, and brutal.

Georgia needs that same edge on Monday and keeping it will mean getting off to a fast start. Grabbing an early lead and just weathering the storm will be critical for the Bulldogs.

We don’t need any lessons on the Art of War or anything, but Georgia can’t allow itself to fall behind early and get shellshocked like it did in Atlanta. That game was over before Georgia even realized it and that can’t happen again.

Plus, Bennett isn’t the kind of quarterback you want playing from behind against Alabama and Saban. You need someone dynamic and not just a game manager.

Bennett is a very good game manager. But if he’s forced into third-and-long and put in a hole, it’s hard to see him pulling the Dawgs out of it, so a fast start is essential.
