2. James Pearce (Edge)

Are you sensing a theme about where Tennessee needs the most help? It is with the pass rush and overall talent and athleticism on defense.

There are going to be the most opportunities for these kinds of players to get on the field for Tennessee football next fall. The most talented edge prospect that the Volunteers signed this cycle was James Pearce.

Pearce is 6-5/220 LBS from Charlotte, North Carolina. The exciting thing about Pearce is that he is just now tapping into his potential.

Athleticism and versatility are his strengths and he can beat offensive linemen off the snap quickly to put pressure on the QB. Look for Pearce to make his presence known early and challenge for playing time. This was an underrated recruiting win for the Tennessee staff this season.
