2. Stone Blanton (Linebacker)

South Carolina had a solid linebacking corps in 2021 but is going to need to replace some production.

To do this, they went into the state of Mississippi and pulled one of the top linebackers in the state in Stone Blanton. This was a big recruiting win for the Gamecocks, as they were able to keep Blanton from going to one of the in-state SEC programs like Ole Miss and Mississippi State.

Blanton already has good size at 6-2/220 LBS, but will definitely need to get bigger to survive a whole season in the SEC.

Blanton is a good athlete at his position, as he was a two-sport athlete in high school. He is a solid all-around linebacker and that is why he is going to make an instant impact on the field for South Carolina in 2022.
