6. Jake Bobo: from Duke to UCLA

Jake Bobo’s move from Duke to UCLA is about scheme fit and winning. “I am excited to get out there and get to work,” the 6-foot-5, 215-pound Bobo told 247Sports. “I want to compete for a Pac-12 championship and a national championship as well.”

Bobo will undoubtedly win more at UCLA. The Blue Devils have had just one winning season since Bobo arrived on campus in 2018. Boston College was the other finalist for the Massachusetts native’s services.

Bobo leaves Durham a season after leading Duke in receptions and yards. He was the focal point of the Blue Devils passing game last year. After meeting with head coach Chip Kelly and his offensive staff, Bobo decided that UCLA was a suitable scheme fit for his skill set.

UCLA loses a star tight end in Greg Dulcich and needs a big body to patrol the seams and move the sticks. Bobo can do both. In addition, at 6-foot-5, Bobo can make contested catches and become a red zone threat.

With one year of eligibility left, Bobo can showcase his talents in Westwood with the opportunity to be used to the fullest extent of his talent. UCLA could be the right place for him.
