This is actually an interesting matchup from a record perspective. Utah State was able to shock everyone and win double-digit games and the Mountain West. They capped their season off with a win over Oregon State in a bowl game and have a lot of momentum for next year.

However, this game is going to get ugly for Utah State. Alabama is the last team you want to face in an opener and it will get sideways quickly.

This is going to be one of the most talked-about games for next season. Former Alabama offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian is now the head coach of Texas and is coming off of a 5-7 season. The Longhorns had a top-five recruiting class and got one of the most talented high school quarterbacks in Quinn Ewers.

This will be the first time these teams have met since the 2009 national championship game. It will be a great scene in Austin, but Texas is not ready for the Crimson Tide just yet. Expect the energy to be sucked out of the stadium early on as Alabama wins big.
