Alabama Football: Way-too-Early Game-by-Game Predictions for 2022
This is going to be the easiest game of the year for Alabama. After two games in a row on the road, it will be good for the Crimson Tide to get a game like this. It will be another chance for the team to get some of the younger guys playing time and get healthy for the SEC Championship Game. Alabama can name their number in this one.
Final Score: Alabama 56, Austin Peay 0 (11-0, 7-0 SEC)
In one of the best games of the 2021 season, Auburn nearly pulled off a stunning upset over Alabama. The Tigers let the Crimson Tide drive 97 yards down the field and took the game to four overtimes. It was a tough blow to Auburn and was a chance for head coach Bryan Harsin to secure a signature win early in his tenure.
Auburn is a hard team to figure out heading into this season. Bo Nix is no longer the quarterback and former Texas A&M starter Zach Calzada is now going to take over under center. While Calzada was able to pull off a great upset last season, it is unlikely that he can do the same thing in 2022. Expect another Alabama victory to close out an undefeated regular season.
Final Score: Alabama 42, Auburn 20 (12-0, 8-0 SEC)
