Notre Dame is used to playing schools on the west coast but does not face off against Cal all that frequently. The Golden Bears have had a tough two-year stretch under head coach Justin Wilcox, but are hoping that they can put that behind them and have a big 2022.

Cal usually has a stingy defense with Wilcox as head coach and that could make this game more interesting than one might think. However, their offense is behind the times and it is hard to envision the Golden Bears scoring enough to threaten the Fighting Irish.

Final Score: Notre Dame 31, Cal 7 (2-1)

4. player. Pick Analysis. North Carolina Tar Heels. Sept. 24. Chapel Hill, NC. 838. Scouting Report

In what has become an interesting series of games the past two seasons, North Carolina and Notre Dame will once again face off in 2022. This time, the Fighting Irish will head south to Chapel Hill to take on a Tar Heels team that is in need of a big season in 2022. North Carolina disappointed after starting 2021 in the top ten and head coach Mack Brown might be on the hot seat.

Last season’s game was a shootout with both defenses having trouble getting a stop. Expect a different type of game, with both teams still having new quarterbacks and new playmakers on the outside. Notre Dame gets a big win on the road.

Final Score: Notre Dame 27, North Carolina 20 (3-1)
