Ohio State Football: Way-too-early game-by-game predictions for 2022
In what should be another interesting Big Ten game for the Buckeyes, they get a visit from cross-division rival Iowa. The Hawkeyes had a solid season in 2021 by winning their division and making the Big Ten Championship Game. Iowa had a really good defense last season and should field another good one in 2021.
The problem for Iowa is still their offense. They had one of the worst in the country and that is going to have to change if Iowa wants to be a real contender in the Big Ten. Unfortunately for them, they won’t be able to keep up with the high-powered Buckeyes.
Final Score: Ohio State 45, Iowa 17 (7-0, 4-0)
In what is usually one of the biggest games in the conference, Ohio State will take a visit to Happy Valley in what will likely be a white-out game with 100,000 people inside. This is one of the toughest environments to play in in college football and the Buckeyes will have to be prepared to handle the environment.
It is going to be crucial for Ohio State to win this game if they want to win the Big Ten. Penn State is a tough opponent and usually plays them tough. However, the Nittany Lions are going to be missing some key players from last year’s team and Ohio State will earn a hard-fought victory.
Final Score: Ohio State 35, Penn State 24 (8-0, 5-0)
