Ohio State Football: Way-too-early game-by-game predictions for 2022
In a rematch of the 2020 Big Ten Championship, Ohio State will travel to Evanston to take on Northwestern. The Wildcats had a bad follow-up season in 2021, going 3-9 and not looking like the usual disciplined team that they are. The normally stout defense was a shell of itself and what makes things worse, All-American Safety Brandon Joseph is transferring to Notre Dame.
It is anyone’s guess what the Wildcats are going to look like next year. They usually follow a bad season with a good one, but they will have to show it first. Buckeyes win big.
Final Score: Ohio State 52, Northwestern 10 (9-0, 6-0)
Another team that had a disappointing season in 2021 was the Indiana Hoosiers. After a break-through season in 2020 under head coach Tom Allen, Indiana went 2-10 last season. It is going to be a new look Hoosiers team, as they do not have quarterback Michael Penix Jr. any longer.
Ohio State leveled Indiana last season and the outlook does not appear to be much better in 2021. It might not be the blowout that it was last season, but Ohio State won’t have any trouble at home against the Hoosiers.
Final Score: Ohio State 42, Indiana 14 (10-0, 7-0)
