The season opener for the Wolverines will come against a team that is going to be led by a new head coach. Colorado State made an upgrade by firing Steve Addazio and hiring Nevada head coach Jay Norvell. The decision by Norvell to leave for a team in his own conference was surprising. He should have the Rams competing for MWC titles soon, but this game will not be close.

This is an ideal game for a team like Michigan football that will have a lot of new starters. This team is going to need to build up their confidence before they hit Big Ten play later in the month. Expect a first-half blowout before Michigan puts it in cruise control the rest of the game.

After having Colorado State in the opener, Michigan is going to be facing a team that is going through a lot of change currently. Former coach Todd Graham was fired at Hawaii and the Rainbow Warriors currently do not have a head coach. This is one of the toughest jobs in the country and will be a tall task for whoever takes over.

No matter who the head coach of Hawaii is for this game, it is going to be a bloodbath. Michigan is going to smash Hawaii and move on to the next week.
