After scoring a big win over their rivals, Texas better be careful of a letdown. Iowa State under head coach Matt Campbell is the last team you want to be facing after a big victory because of the way they play. Campbell is going to have his team well-coached and looking to score a victory over a team they have had success against in recent years.

After being one of the preseason contenders for the Big 12 last season, Iowa State is going to be losing a lot of key players. Quarterback Brock Purdy, running back Breece Hall, tight end Charlie Kolar, and linebacker Mike Rose are all going to be gone. That is going to make the season a bit difficult. Make no mistake though, the Cyclones are going to be a tough out for anyone.

This is going to be a huge game in the Big 12 next season. After a 12-2 season that saw them fall short of a potential playoff birth in the Big 12 championship game, Oklahoma State will enter 2022 as one of the favorites to win the conference. Quarterback Spencer Sanders is back to lead the offense and he is fresh off the best performance of his college career against Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl.

The biggest departure for the Cowboys will be defensive coordinator Jim Knowles to Ohio State. Replacing Knowles will be former Stanford and Auburn defensive coordinator Derek Mason. Oklahoma State is going to be gunning for a championship and will beat Texas at home.

Final Score: Texas 24, Oklahoma State 30 (6-2, 4-1)
