Texas Football: Way-too-Early Game-by-Game Predictions for 2022
This is going to be a game that Texas football fans will actually be looking forward to this season. Kansas is usually just a blip on the radar of most Big 12 teams, but they pulled a massive upset over the Longhorns in 2021, in one of the most embarrassing games in the history of Texas Football.
This game on paper should be annihilation and it probably will be. Kansas head coach Lance Leipold has done a nice job laying a potential foundation in Lawrence, but Kansas is still going to be the worst team in the Big 12 in 2022.
Final Score: Texas 66, Kansas 13 (9-2, 7-1)
For the final game of the season, Texas will welcome the defending Big 12 champs. Baylor head coach Dave Aranda did a wonderful job in his second season in Waco and the Bears are going to be among the handful of teams expected to compete for the Big 12 Championship. Baylor is once again going to have the best defense in the Big 12 and one of the best running games.
This game could be for a spot in the conference championship game. If any defense can slow down the Longhorns offense, it is probably Baylor’s. The Bears will come into Austin and get a victory over Texas to wrap up the regular season.
