4. LSU

At one time, Jermaine Burton was an LSU commitment so it’s possible he could have an interest in the Tigers. So if they are a package deal, it would come down to whether LSU would have an interest in JT Daniels as its starting quarterback.

The Tigers did bring back Myles Brennan who returned from the transfer portal and also signed five-star recruit Walker Howard at the position. However, Brennan has never proved to be anything special and while it wouldn’t be guaranteed, Daniels feels like he would have a strong chance to be the starter and with a veteran quarterback, LSU could rebound much faster.

3. UCLA

Speaking of California, one program that makes a lot of sense in that state is UCLA. It’s no secret that the Bruins have been looking to the transfer portal for a quarterback and JT Daniels could be the answer to their prayers.

Daniels isn’t the type of quarterback you think about in a Chip Kelly offense but he’s a big-time talent, even if he is more of a pocket passer. He did complete 69 percent of his passes while also throwing 17 touchdowns and just five interceptions during his nine games in Athens. He’s also averaged 9.2 yards per attempt.

The point is, a lot of teams could use JT Daniels and UCLA is among them. Daniels would get a clear starting opportunity and the Bruins would be getting, if reports are true, an elite wideout and quarterback to help contend for a Pac-12 title.

Kelly also has a strong reputation with quarterbacks so that could also help draw Daniels back to his home state to play for the Bruins.
