Scouting Report. Oct. 22. Eugene, Ore.. 7. player. 836. Pick Analysis. UCLA Bruins

This was one of the best games in the Pac-12 last season. Oregon got out to a comfortable lead, but the Bruins surged back to make the game interesting in the final moments. While the Ducks did win the game ultimately, it could have gone in either direction. UCLA will be looking to build upon their breakthrough season from a year ago and once again challenge for the Pac-12 South title.

It has been an interesting offseason for UCLA. Quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson is back for another season, but the Bruins were trying to upgrade the position at the same time. Thompson-Robinson should be the starter for what feels like the tenth season and that will give UCLA some familiarity at the position. However, Oregon will win this game due to the losses the Bruins have in other areas.

Final Score: Oregon 31, UCLA 27 (5-2, 4-0)

An inter-division battle between Oregon and Cal to finish out the month of October will be interesting. Golden Bears coach Justin Wilcox was interviewed for the Oregon job but seemingly turned it down. It will be an interesting storyline that will be talked about leading up to the game in Berkeley.

Cal had a tough year and some of it was due to outside circumstances. Wilcox has done a good job there and is one of the most well-respected defensive coordinators in the country. However, the Golden Bears won’t have enough offense to pull off the upset.

Final Score: Oregon 28, Cal 10 (6-2, 5-0)
