South Carolina Football: Way-too-early game-by-game predictions for 2022
This is going to be another tough SEC game for the Gamecocks. After playing Arkansas on the road, South Carolina gets to come back to Columbia and have a date with the defending national champions. Georgia is going to be losing a lot of their talent from their all-time great defense, but the Bulldogs are still going to be stocked with talent. Stetson Bennett is going to be back at quarterback and should be able to lead a good offense this season.
Some are going to peg this game as an upset spot in the preseason. It is just not fair to expect South Carolina to win this game. Beamer is still building up the talent level at South Carolina and to be able to compete with Georgia, they are going to need more depth. Georgia wins this game big.
Final Score: South Carolina 17, Georgia 38 (1-2, 0-2)
After two tough SEC games, South Carolina is going to have a chance to get back on track with a game against Charlotte. 49ers head coach Will Healy has done a nice job while in Charlotte and did get a win over a Power Five program when they beat Duke last season. However, Charlotte had one of the worst defenses in the country and that brought a lot of changes to the staff this offseason.
This should be a game that South Carolina wins comfortably. They are going to try and score some style points and get a lopsided victory over Charlotte.
Final Score: South Carolina 55, Charlotte 20 (2-2, 0-2)
