For their last SEC game of the season, South Carolina will host Tennessee in a battle of two teams that overachieved in 2021. Tennessee is likely going to come into the season ranked and the reason for optimism in Knoxville is quarterback Hendon Hooker. Hooker had one of the best seasons for a quarterback in the country and leads a high-powered Volunteers attack on offense.

This is going to be a tough matchup for the Gamecocks. Tennessee is going to be able to move the ball at will on their defense and attack them through the air. This is going to be a high-scoring game and Tennesse is going to steal a win in Columbia.

Final Score: South Carolina 35, Tennesse 38 (6-5, 3-5)

The Clemson-South Carolina rivalry is one of the most intense in college football and it was good to see the game back in action last season after not being played in 2020. South Carolina is going to be looking to do better this time around, as Clemson shut out the Gamecocks 30-0 in Columbia last season.

Clemson might have had a down season by its standards in 2021, but they still went 10-3 and had an elite defense. The main parts of that defense return, but the Tigers will be replacing both coordinators. How quickly Clemson is able to gel together under those new coordinators could be the difference in whether the Tigers are back in playoff contention. Clemson has too much talent for South Carolina and will win this game yet again.
