Miami Football: Way-too-early 2022 game-by-game predictions
For the first game of the Mario Cristobal era, Miami will welcome FCS school Bethune-Cookman to South Beach. These two programs are familiar with each other, as Miami has opened the season with the Wildcats before. This will be an opportunity for Miami to see what works and some things that might not before their big road game two weeks later.
The biggest thing for the Hurricanes is to just stay healthy and get some younger players some work in this game.
Final Score: Miami 59, Bethune-Cookman 7 (1-0)
For Miami’s second warm-up game of the season, they will welcome Southern Miss to Hard Rock Stadium to face off. The Golden Eagles have had some success over the years, but last year was a tough year for the program. Southern Miss only went 3-9 last season and there is going to be some pressure on head coach Will Hall to turn things around.
This can be one of the better programs in Conference USA, but there is going to have to be some progress in 2022. That might not come against Miami, as the Hurricanes win this game big.
Final Score: Miami 45, Southern Miss 13 (2-0)
