Arkansas football surprised last year, winning nine games after being a divisional bottom-dweller for years. This Razorback team doesn’t have incredible receiver Treylon Burks or All-SEC cornerback Montaric Brown, but they do bring back their flattener of a quarterback in KJ Jefferson, as well as all-SEC linebacker Bumper Pool.

Transfer portal gets like former Oklahoma receiver Jadon Hazelwood and former LSU corner Dwight McGlothern represent the attempt to plug some of the holes left by departures.

However, it’s not enough, and Ole Miss gets the win.

Final score: Ole Miss 45, Arkansas 31 (8-3, 4-3)

Thanksgiving means only one thing in the state of Mississippi; Egg Bowl time. Mississippi State loses stud offensive tackle Charles Cross to the NFL but brings back a lot back from last year’s team, including their top two rushers, three out of four top receivers, and their top two tacklers.

Second-team All-SEC corner Emmanuel Forbes returns to Starkville for another season, as does quarterback Will Rogers.

Even with all these returnees, Ole Miss should win their third straight Egg Bowl.

Final score: Ole Miss 34, Mississippi State 27 (9-3, 5-3)
