2. James Williams

Williams earned playing time throughout last season, but this is the year he is going to remind fans why he was one of the most sought-after recruits in the country.

Williams came to Miami football as a five-star recruit and is one of the most physically impressive players on the roster. At 6’5, 224 LBS, Williams has great size and speed and is one of the most gifted athletes in the whole country.

Williams led Miami with two interceptions last season while totaling 31 tackles. He is a player that can be used in a variety of ways and new defensive coordinator Kevin Steele is going to love having a player like this to build around on his defense. Williams has first-round type potential and it is going to show in the 2022 season.
