4-star CB Jaeden Gould

The addition of Jaeden Gould to Nebraska football’s 2022 recruiting class was probably the best pickup overall and not just because he’s the highest-ranked recruit.

Gould is out of New Jersey and played at Bergen Catholic, a program known for churning out college recruits. Michigan was heavily involved and so was USC which earned his commitment over the summer.

Things fell apart when Clay Helton was fired and that allowed Nebraska football to sign the 6-foot-2, 190-pounder who ranks 251st overall according to the 247 sports composite rankings.

While Gould is a cornerback, he’s just a football player. He can play safety, he can play outside and he can also play in the slot.

The Huskers need some boundary corners and Gould is a guy who should turn into a multi-year starter. He may not start this season but he’ll play and Nebraska football will need his ability.

And with his ability to play multiple spots, don’t be shocked to see him some at safety. Either way, since he’s already enrolled, you should see Gould on the field plenty next season for Nebraska football.
