Offensive Line

Starting left tackle: JC Latham
Backup: Tommy Brockermeyer

Starting left guard: Javion Cohen
Backup: Terrence Ferguson

Starting center: Seth McLaughlin
Backup: Darrin Dalcourt

Starting right guard: Emil Ekiyor Jr.
Backup: Tanner Bowles

Starting right tackle: Damieon George
Backup: Tyler Booker

This is going to be a position of interest for Alabama this season. For Alabama standards, last season’s offensive line was subpar. There were games in which they allowed Bryce Young to be pressured far too often. There were other games in which the run blocking was not to the level that they needed it to be. The guy they are going to miss the most is left tackle Evan Neal, who might be the first pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.

At left tackle, look for former five-star recruit JC Latham to be the guy anchoring Young’s blindside. Latham has a ton of talent and with another offseason of getting stronger and ready, should be ready to be the starting left tackle for Alabama.

If Latham is at left tackle, then Javion Cohen should slide in at left guard. Cohen has plenty of experience and should get better with another offseason under his belt. The same goes for center Seth McLaughlin and right guard Emil Ekiyor Jr. There is going to be plenty of experience in the interior and Alabama has to hope that will be their strength next season.

Right tackle was a bit of an issue for Alabama in 2021. Damieon George was inconsistent when he was in and allowed too much pressure. He gets the nod here due to experience, but it could just as easily be Tyler Booker.
