NFL Mock Draft 2022: Complete first round Super Bowl weekend edition
When I say that there are a lot of really good defensive linemen in this draft class, it almost feels like an understatement. DeMarvin Leal is another guy who I believe should be a lock to go in round one.
Leal had a dominant season for Texas A&M, posting 58 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, and 8.5 sacks in 11 games.
Arizona needs an edge rusher and while Leal plays primarily on the interior, he could step out and play on the edge which fills a major need.
Dallas addressed the defense last season with Micah Parsons and he immediately became an All-Pro. Why not add to that improving defense with a lockdown cornerback like Trent McDuffie?
Some believe that Dallas could go with another defensive lineman or even a tight end, but they could address the latter by re-signing Dalton Shultz.
McDuffie would be an intriguing pick because he’s an aggressive cornerback who isn’t afraid to step up against the run, more than making up for his 5-11, 195-pound frame.
