Ohio State Football: Way-too-early 2022 depth chart projection
Running Back
Starter: TreVeyon Henderson
Backup: Miyan Williams
This is another position in which there is not going to be any debate over. After taking over a little bit into the 2021 season, TreVeyon Henderson showed why he was one of the most coveted recruits.
Henderson has blazing speed for a running back and is a big play waiting to happen. He showed that he can be an excellent receiver out of the backfield as well and if he gets into open space, good luck. Henderson is going to be on many preseason All-American lists and it is going to be well deserved. He could also be a Heisman candidate, although he will have to compete with others on his own team for touches.
Miyan Williams was a nice change of pace from the speed of Henderson. Williams is a more physical runner and Ohio State likes to use him in short-yardage situations. These two backs are going to be shouldering most of the carries for Ohio State in 2022.
