Game 1: vs. Temple (W)

If the Temple Owls had been their mid-2010’s selves entering this matchup, perhaps this game would be an upset alert for Duke. However, the former has only one four games in their last two seasons. The Blue Devils will open up their 2022 slate with a home win in this one.

Game 2: at Northwestern (L)

The Northwestern Wildcats just might be one of the least consistent college football programs known to man. In 2018, they made the Big Ten title game but in 2019, they went 3-9. In 2020, they made the Big Ten title game, and in 2021 they went 3-9.

With that in mind, the pattern indicates that they are in for one heck of a year, and Duke football will be visiting them to stand in their way. As a result, the Blue Devils won’t have that undefeated feeling for long.

Game 3: vs. North Carolina A&T (W)

I truly find it hard to believe that Duke will stoop so low as to lose this one. The game is in Durham, and it shouldn’t be close for long. The Blue Devils winning by less than 30 would be inexcusable — even for them.
