Wide Receiver

Starting X Receiver: Braden Lenzy

Backup: Joe Wilkins

Starting Slot Reciever: Avery Davis

Backup: Deion Colzie

Starting Z Receiver: Lorenzo Styles

Backup: Tobias Merriweather

This is a position that is lacking a true number one threat but has some solid options. Notre Dame is going to miss Kevin Austin on the offense, as he was a guy that could stretch the field with his down-the-field speed.

The likely number one option at wide receiver for Notre Dame is going to be Braden Lenzy. Lenzy had a solid Fiesta Bowl and could really have a breakout season in 2022. Avery Davis has been a good receiver for the Fighting Irish in the past couple of seasons and is looking to have another good season. Like Lenzy, Lorenzo Styles had a nice performance in the Fiesta Bowl and that is leading Notre Dame fans to think that he could be in for a big season.

The backups all have the potential to see the field for Notre Dame in 2022. Joe Wilkins, Deion Colzie, and Tobias Merriweather all are set to have big roles this season. Colzie was the highest-rated of the group out of high school and he might be the guy to keep an eye on.
