2. Jeff Brohm is still the head coach

In the four seasons prior to Jeff Brohm’s arrival to West Lafayette, the Boilermakers compiled a 9-39 record, with zero winning seasons and a ceiling of 3-9. Since Brohm’s hiring, Purdue has a record of 25-29, with three bowl appearances and two winning seasons.

Although Brohm’s record may not be on the level of the more prominent schools, he has the Boilermakers heading in the right direction. Since 2008, Purdue has had five seasons with six or more wins; three of which have been in the past five seasons under Brohm.

Brohm also has a 2-1 record in bowl games and a 3-1 record against Indiana, the Boilermakers’ biggest rival. In 2021, Purdue recovered from 2020’s loss to the Hoosiers with a 44-7 home win.
