Running Back

Starter: Devon Achane
Backup: L.J. Johnson or Amari Daniels

While the Aggies are losing Spiller to the NFL, they should not miss a beat at running back. Devon Achane was great in a backup role for Texas A&M and was a great special teams player to boot. He has game-breaking speed and can score from anywhere on the field when he has the ball. He should be a candidate to be first-team All-SEC this season.

Behind Achane will be L.J. Johnson. Johnson got some carries last season but is still a bit of an unknown due to being the third or fourth guy in the rotation last season. Another guy that should factor into the running back rotation is Amari Daniels who is listed as a co-backup with Johnson for now due to both of them having small work samples.

True freshman Le’Veon Moss has a lot of talent as a top-100 recruit, but it is going to be hard to get carries in this backfield this season.
