Tight End

Starter: Baylor Cupp
Backup: Donovan Green

This is a spot where Texas A&M is going to have to replace a multi-year starter at tight end in Wydermyer. He was one of the best tight ends in the country and is going to be a draft pick in this year’s NFL draft.

In short, replacing him is not going to be easy, but there are talented players that the Aggies have.

The likely starter is going to be Baylor Cupp, who has been waiting behind Wydermyer. Cupp has been battling injuries, so he is going to have to prove that he can stay healthy. If Cupp can’t be the guy, look for either true freshman Donovan Green or Jake Johnson. Both guys are very talented, but it can be a lot for a true freshman to be starting at tight end.
