Running Back

Starter: Bijan Robinson

Backup: Roschon Johnson

Texas is once again going to have one of the best players in the country at running back. Bijan Robinson is the best running back in college football and a contender for the Heisman Trophy. He is one of the most dynamic all-around runners in the country and is going to be the focus of the Texas offense in 2022.

The one question around Robinson might be his health. He got hurt towards the end of the season and did not return. His health is going to be paramount for Texas to have any success this season. The backup to Robinson will be senior running back Roschon Johnson. Johnson was the top back after Robinson left with the injury and that gives him plenty of experience.

The top recruit at running back this cycle for Texas was Jaydon Blue, but it will be tough for him to make a big impact without an injury to the top guys.
