Offensive Line

Starting Left Tackle: Kelvin Banks

Backup: Christian Jones

Starting Left Guard: Junior Angilau

Backup: Conner Hayden

Starting Center: Jake Majors

Backup: Logan Parr

Starting Right Guard: Conner Hayden

Backup: Devon Campbell

Starting Right Tackle: Christian Jones

Backup: Andrej Karic

This is the position on offense and maybe the whole Texas team that has the least amount of certainty. The offensive line was not very good last season and needed some talent acquisition. Sarkisian did a great job at landing what might be the best offensive line class in the 2022 recruiting cycle. The question is: how quickly can those get on the field and make an impact?

The guy most likely to get out there the earliest is Kelvin Banks, one of the highest-rated members of Texas’s 2022 recruiting class.

Banks was not an early enrollee, but that should not prevent him from challenging for the starting job. At left guard, look for Junior Angilau to be the guy that steps up in the interior. Jake Majors brings plenty of experience to the center position and will be the starter to begin the year.

The right side of the line is likely going to have Conner Hayden at right guard and Christian Jones at right tackle. Jones played in 2021 but was not spectacular. He will also serve as the backup left tackle. The guy to watch will be Devon Campbell. Campbell was the highest-rated member of the Longhorns recruiting class in 2022 and his talent will get him playing time this season eventually.
