Defensive Line

Starting Jack: Alfred Collins

Backup: Jett Bush

Starting Defensive Tackle: Moro Ojomo

Backup: Vernon Broughton

Starting Nose Tackle: Keondre Coburn

Backup: T’Vondre Sweat

There is going to be plenty of playing experience that returns to the defensive line for the Texas Longhorns in 2022. Most of the two-deep projection above has playing experience and will hope to be better in 2022.

At the Jack position, Alfred Collins is going to be the guy. Collins led all of the defensive linemen in tackles last season and will be one of the leaders upfront. At defensive tackle, Moro Ojomo is going to be back and he might be the best defensive linemen at Texas. He does not provide much in terms of pass rush, but is solid against the run. At nose tackle, Keondre Coburn will be the starter and is another solid run stopper with little pass rush upside.

The backups have experience and talent and Texas is going to be rotating these guys in. Jett Bush, Vernon Broughton, and T’Vondre Sweat all can contribute this season and will be counted on for depth.
