4. vs. UConn (W)

Similarly to the Charleston Southern game, there just isn’t much analysis worth digging into for this one.

UConn had only one win in 2021, and it was by six whopping points over the Yale Bulldogs. So yeah, humoring the breakdown of this game any further would be borderline disrespectful to NC State.

5. at Clemson (L)

The Clemson Tigers are a very mysterious team going into this next season, but we do know is that they lost to the Pack in Raleigh the last time the two-faced one another. And quite frankly, if this game were in Raleigh as well, I’d give the latter the nod to prevailing for a second time.

However, Clemson has the superior coach, superior players, and will be hosting NC State in one of college football’s toughest places to visit. Clemson will win, but it won’t be a cakewalk.

6. vs. Florida State (W)

And just like that, we’re back to winning.

Carter-Finley Stadium has not exactly been the most welcoming destination for the Florida State Seminoles in recent memory, and the Wolfpack have won the last two meetings in their rivalry with FSU. Even after a tiring loss at the hands of the Tigers, this one won’t see the loss column for NCST.
