Auburn Football: Way-too-early 2022 game-by-game predictions
The schedule is just relentless for Auburn. After going to Athens to take on Georgia, Auburn is going to Oxford to play the Rebels. Ole Miss had one of their better seasons in recent memory in 2021 that resulted in a Sugar Bowl appearance. The Rebels are hoping that they can reload and have another great season under head coach Lane Kiffin.
Ole Miss did as good of a job as anyone of using the transfer portal to reload. Former USC quarterback Jaxson Dart and former TCU running back Zach Evans were some of the big additions to the squad for Ole Miss and they should keep the offense dangerous. They might not win double-digit games again this season, but they won’t be losing to Auburn.
Final Score: Auburn 23, Ole Miss 45 (2-5, 0-4)
After losing to Ole Miss, Auburn is going to be having a much-needed bye week before playing their first home game since the start of the month. The opponent for Auburn’s last game in October is going to be Arkansas. Razorbacks head coach Sam Pittman has done a great job of rebuilding that program in such a short amount of time and 2022 has a chance to be the best season yet under Pittman.
Most of Arkansas’s best playmakers are going to be back and there was little turnover on the coaching staff. This is going to be a tough team for anyone in the SEC West to be able to beat. The Razorbacks will go on the road and win this game.
Final Score: Auburn 24, Arkansas 28 (2-6, 0-5)
