1. LSU Tigers

OK, this one is clearly the most obvious and what Notre Dame fan wouldn’t want a home-and-home scheduled with LSU and former head coach Brian Kelly?

There has to be some extreme hatred among the fanbase for Kelly after he left the program high-and-dry before the bowl game because he felt like his best chance to win a national title was in Baton Rouge and not South Bend. That had to sting and fans and players don’t forget that.

Fans will want to see the new head coach, Marcus Freeman, face the former head coach in sort of a good vs. evil situation.

Sure, Kelly brought a lot of good to the program, including Freeman, but the Irish can’t help but feel abandoned after he just jumped ship at the first opportunity of a huge pay raise to coach in the SEC.

This could be a fun new rivalry and it’s two historic programs that have only played 12 times ever with the Irish leading the series 7-5.

Everyone needs to see Notre Dame vs. Brian Kelly.
