Wisconsin Football: Way-too-Early Game Predictions for 2022
This is going to be another tough road game for Wisconsin. After going to Columbus and losing earlier in the season, it is going to be important that they win this game to stay ahead in the Big Ten West.
Michigan State is not an easy place to try and get victories, however. The Spartans won double-digit games last season and appear to have some momentum as a program under head coach Mel Tucker.
Michigan State is going to be losing star running back Kenneth Walker III. He was the biggest part of the offense last season and he will be tough to replace.
Michigan State is hoping that their pass defense improves enough to remain a Big Ten contender. Wisconsin will go into East Lansing, but they will not come out with a victory.
Final Score: Wisconsin 24, Michigan State 27 (5-2, 2-2)
Losing to Michigan State will be a tough pill to swallow, but Wisconsin should still have a chance to win the Big Ten West as long as they win their divisional games. They will have a chance to bounce back against Purdue, who has been a feisty team in the Big Ten West under Jeff Brohm.
The problem for the Boilermakers this season is that they will be missing their best offensive and best defensive players from a season ago. David Bell and George Karlaftis are going to be missed and not easily replaced. Brohm is one of the nation’s best offensive minds, but Wisconsin will find a way to avoid being upset by Purdue.
Final Score: Wisconsin 34, Purdue 17 (6-2, 3-2)
