Wisconsin Football: Way-too-Early Game Predictions for 2022
After their bye week, Wisconsin will be looking to finish the season strong in the month of November. They will start November off with a visit from East division counterparts, the Maryland Terrapins.
Maryland outperformed expectations last season when it got to a bowl game and then proceeded to blowout Virginia Tech. However, Maryland has had to endure some losses in the transfer portal this offseason.
Head coach Mike Locksley seems to have things trending in the right direction at Maryland, but they might be taking a step back in 2022. The defense is still probably not going to be good and won’t be able to slow down Wisconsin’s running game. Badgers win at home.
Final Score: Wisconsin 37, Maryland 14 (7-2, 4-2)
It is always good old-fashioned Big Ten Football when Iowa and Wisconsin get together. These two teams both play great defense and have solid running games. High-flying passing attacks don’t exist in this matchup and it always seems to deliver in giving us a battle of true Big Ten West teams.
Despite Iowa winning the Big Ten West last season, the Hawkeyes were smashed by Wisconsin when they played.
These two teams are likely going to be the favorites in the division and this game could determine who goes to Indianapolis. Wisconsin will win this game close. The pregame game total might be projected to be below 35.
Final Score: Wisconsin 17, Iowa 13 (8-2, 5-2)
