Running Back

Starter: Treshaun Ward

Backup: Lawrance Toafili

With Corbin off to the NFL, it is going to be up to somebody on the roster to take the duties of being the top back. The guy that is likely to get that opportunity is Treshaun Ward. Ward was the Seminoles’ third-leading rusher last season and actually led the ACC with 6.4 yards per carry.

There might be questions on whether Ward is ready to be the lead back, but he seems to be up to it. Ward could be in for a breakout season because of how much Florida State runs the ball. The top backup is likely to be Florida State’s fourth-leading rusher from last season, Lawrance Toafili. Toafili only had 163 yards last season, but he is going to have to do more and be one of the top backs.

Another name to keep an eye on would be Oregon transfer Trey Benson.
