Tight End

Starter: Davis Allen

Backup: Jake Briningstool

Clemson is returning their top two tight ends from last season and hoping that they can become bigger factors in improving the passing game.

Davis Allen was the leading receiver amongst the tight ends last season and it is fair to assume that he will do that again barring injury. Allen is not a spectacular athlete, but he finds a way to get things done. He is an all-around solid tight end and should have a nice season.

Backing Allen up will be Jake Briningstool. Briningstool had a solid season in 2021 and should be a good backup to have after Allen. Clemson did sign one tight end in this recruiting class, Josh Sapp, but don’t expect Sapp to see the field at all this season.
