Offensive Line

Starting Left Tackle: Jordan McFadden

Backup: Tristan Leigh

Starting Left Guard: Hunter Rayburn

Backup: Marcus Tate

Starting Center: Mason Trotter

Backup: Trent Howard

Starting Right Guard: Will Putnam

Backup: Dietrick Pennington

Starting Right Tackle: Walker Parks

Backup: Mitchell Hayes

This position group has been a point of contention for Clemson for the past couple of seasons. The pass protection has been abysmal at times. The good news for Clemson is that the entire offensive line returns, but there is not one player that started last season that does not need to improve.

At left tackle, Jordan McFadden is going to return and he might be the best linemen that Clemson has currently. He is not an All-American caliber player, but he should be solid for the Tigers this season. Hunter Rayburn is projected to be the starting left guard, but he is going to have to hold off Marcus Tate for the job. Tate was average last season and might just be a backup this season.

At center, Mason Trotter is going to get the start. Trotter split time with Rayburn last season, but he is projected to move over to left guard. Will Putnam and Walker Parks were the starters at right guard and right tackle last season and are going to assume their positions again this fall.

One guy to keep an eye on would be Tristan Leigh. Leigh was a five-star recruit in the 2021 class but did not get much action last season. He has the talent to be able to get on the field this season.
