Secondary

Starting Cornerbacks: D.J. Graham and Woodi Washington

Backups: Jaden Davis and C.J. Coldon

Starting Safeties: Key Lawrence and Trey Morrison

Backups: Jordan Mukes and Bryson Washington

Starting Nickel: Billy Bowman

Backup: Justin Broiles

Oklahoma was busy in the transfer portal trying to find better talent for the secondary. They added some guys that are expected to contribute right away and some guys for depth purposes.

It is good for Oklahoma that D.J. Graham and Woodi Washington are back because they were the Sooner’s two best corners last season. They have a lot of starting experience and should get better this season. Jaden Davis is going to be the main backup at corner and he is also a guy with starting experience for Oklahoma. C.J. Coldon is a transfer from Wyoming who will give the Sooners experience behind their main guys.

At safety, North Carolina transfer Trey Morrison is going to step in next to Key Lawrence and play right away.

Morrison played plenty at North Carolina and should bring leadership and playmaking ability to the defensive backfield. Billy Bowman was the starting nickel at times last season and should step right back in there.
