Baylor Football: Way-too-Early 2022 Game Predictions
You can’t ask for an easier opener than this for the reigning Big 12 champions. This is going to be a good opportunity to give a lot of players time on the field and try to figure out the depth of the football team for the year. This game should be over by the first quarter or the first half and expect the Bears to name their score in this game.
Final Score: Baylor 70, Albany 0 (1-0)
This is going to be one of the most intriguing non-conference games of the 2022 season. BYU is going to want to get revenge for the loss that they took in Waco last season as well. This is potentially a ranked matchup and could have implications down the line. Another interesting wrinkle in this game is the Baylor offensive coordinator Jeff Grimes was the former play-caller at BYU.
Provo is one of the most unique environments and hardest places to play. The Cougars are going to be replacing some of their best players from last year’s team, but they return enough talent to be a top 20 team. Expect this to be a tight game that will come down to the fourth quarter, but BYU is going to protect their home field and get a win over Baylor.
Final Score: Baylor 24, BYU 27 (1-1)
